What is Myofunctional Therapy?
We specialize in the evaluation and treatment of Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders (OMD). An OMD can affect a child's ability to speak, eat, breathe, and sleep effectively. Myofunctional Therapy aims to strengthen oral musculature, correct swallow patterns, achieve nasal breathing patterns, and improve speech intelligibility.
We believe in finding the ROOT CAUSE of your child's oral dysfunction, and we assess all aspects of speech, feeding, swallowing, and breathing to determine the best treatment plan for your child. We believe in treating the WHOLE child, not just the symptoms. Our goal is to support you and to help your child GROW and THRIVE!
