At Juniper Speech Therapy, we believe that communication, breathing, feeding, and overall well-being are deeply connected and that therapy should reflect the whole child, not just one symptom.

Founded in Phoenix, Arizona, Juniper Speech Therapy is a private practice that provides specialized, individualized services in:

Who We Are

Juniper Speech Therapy is led by Julie Mercadante, a licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist and Myofunctional Therapist with a passion for holistic, whole-body therapy. Julie brings over two decades of experience to the table, blending clinical expertise with a deep respect for each child’s unique nervous system, history, and needs.

She’s also a homeschool mom, ESA direct vendor, and strong advocate for collaboration between parents, pediatricians, ENTs, orthodontists, and school teams.

What We Offer

We specialize in treating the root causes of:

Articulation and speech sound delays
Feeding difficulties and oral motor challenges
Mouth breathing and poor oral rest posture
Tongue thrust and persistent lisps
Tongue ties and other orofacial restrictions
Sleep-disordered breathing symptoms related to oral function

We work with toddlers, school-aged children, teens, and adults, offering a combination of direct treatment, parent education, and home programs tailored to each client’s goals and lifestyle.

Serving Phoenix and Beyond

Juniper Speech Therapy offers in-person evaluations and therapy sessions in Phoenix and virtual therapy statewide in Arizona. We accept ESA funds as a direct vendor.
